Along a section road in Noble County, Oklahoma, I watched this female Red-bellied Woodpecker.  She had a keen interest in a certain pecan tree.  Also visiting the tree was a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, who had bored holes to collect the sap that exudes from them, as well as insects attracted to the sap.  Our Red-bellied Woodpecker, it seems, was freeloading off the efforts of the sapsucker, and eating the sap itself.
