I photographed this fluffed-up White-crowned Sparrow early on a cold winter morning near Wagoner, OK.  In addition to being rather colorful as sparrows go, the White-crowned is also more tame.  It will sometimes pose for a photo when the Song Sparrows, juncos, etc have fled into the undergrowth.  Is it just me, or is this species becoming a more common  winter resident here?
